Amidst the backdrop of a controversial High Court case that brought assisted suicide to the media forefront in England, TO OUR OWN COMPLETED LIVES follows three friends united in their support for changing the current law- a retired physician, his supportive but cautious partner, and a healthy elderly friend who insists that she is ready to die.
Filmmaker profile: Brit Kewin is a Canadian researcher and filmmaker interested in the boundaries between art and documentary film. Past projects have explored creativity, child development and the social implications of health. She holds an M.A. (Distinction) in Visual Anthropology from Goldsmiths, UoL, and is currently working with Hot Docs and Toronto International Film Festival.
