From the streets of Nairobi comes a documentary about work and employment for young people in the heart of Africa. We are taken on a journey of opportunity and encounter the different roles in the private (Matatu) bus industry. Filmed in 2012 the film illustrates a range of challenges which are faced across the world and seem all too familiar to a European audience.
Alex Parkyn-Smith is an anthropologist and documentary filmmaker who is concerned with the social reality in industrial and work situations. This film is his latest short and represents the culmination of a year of work in the area.
